You cannot miss with this quick, refreshing delightful summer treat. It is delicious and you will benefit from the blueberries’ antioxidant and low calorie qualities! Choose berries that are firm, uniform in size and deep blue with a silvery frost. Discard shriveled or moldy berries. Do not wash until ready to use. Store in frig up to 5 days.
- 2½ cups blueberries (frozen or fresh)
- 1¼ cups apple juice or white grape juice
- 1 cup frozen vanilla yogurt
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ tsp. almond extract
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- ½ cup fresh blueberries – garnish
Combine all ingredients ‐ except the berries for garnish ‐ in a blender. Blend until
combined and smooth. Serve immediately garnished with fresh blueberries.
Note: You can use raspberries, chopped mangoes or peaches instead of the blueberries. Try
